Our credit card transactions are handled by Authorizenet, for example - they have the cardholder's card # and all that, we don't retain that data because we don't ever receive it from Authorizenet. We don't do phone orders, etc.Anyone actually holding customer credit card information on a web server is absolutely out of their mind to begin with, but I know it happens. We've even seen shops that actually ask for credit card information via plain old HTTP. more...
